No need to look both ways?

Students scurry to get to class on time walking from their dorms or other classes to Owens building.

But, there seems to be just one obstacle standing in their way.

As a little kid we were always taught by our loving parents "look both ways before crossing the street". But, is that always necessary?

Ever since last year, at least I can remember, there have been black barriers placed on the road leading directly to Owens, blocking anyone from entering. And, ever since I can remember, there are still those students who will look both ways before crossing the street.

Last time I checked, no one is coming.

Then there are always those students who are aware and know NO ONE is coming and proceed to walk, without the look left, look right, ok go.

Daring, I know.

These are the students that always get those looks from other people like "oh my gosh, they are going to get hit".

Well guess what? No one is coming.

So, I ask you students again, what's the deal?

I don't know what the deal is, I stopped looking on campus before I cross the street a long time ago!

I always find myself looking both ways around campus. I guess it's something I'm used to doing.

Hey Laura. You write well! And you have a sense of humor. Thanks for blogging about this. I guess you're referring to the street that no longer has any vehicle traffic. Good points you've made.
